A return to Saltwell Park for a special ¡VAMOS! Picnic!

Last year's ¡VAMOS! Picnic in Saltwell Park was a truly sumptious day so we couldn't let this year pass without another one! It's a late confirmation but it will be taking place on Saturday July 2nd from 12pm-5pm .

The day will feature live performances from The Sage Gateshead's youth ensemble Rhythm Nation, who perform wildly explosive street percussion styles with marimba, congas and vibes.

This will be followed by an informal children's flamenco workshop to learn the different flamenco styles with clapping, singing and percussion.

The workshop is led by Paco Bethencourt and fellow musicians Mary Adine Bethencourt and Lluís Lleó Oller Gallegos - who last year performed at both the picnic and The Biscuit Factory.
The session will be followed by an opportunity for a short live performance with the musicians. Spaces are limited to 20 so if you'd like to join in come down early to sign-up!

After the workshop DJ Montunno will again be delivering a relaxed dance class to anyone who wants to do some Salsa!

In between all the performances will be DJ's Alx Alfaro and Montunno!

Food will again be for sale from McKenna's restaurant.
