Lucha Future

Mexico’s spectacular Lucha Future is a marvel of live performance. Good takes on evil, heroes are born and super heroes are made. This is huge, jaw-hanging, riotous fun – the kind you will never forget.

Lucha Future is high-flying acrobatics, astonishing special effects, exhilarating wrestling bouts, the funkiest live music featuring Bostich and Fussible (Nortec Collective), and the best Mexican-themed food and drink.

The night features 14 of Mexico’s finest performers including legends such as CASSANDRO, BLUE DEMON JR and MAGNO.

The Lucha Future event at the Sage Gateshead have unveiled six more luchadores coming to take part in this summer's tour.
The super six: Naruto, Hanaoka, Turbo, Hantar, Arez and Skayde will also be appearing at The Sage Gateshead on June 28th!

Naruto
Naruto began learning Lucha Libre through friends in LA and went on to train at the  JAPAN PRO-WRESTLING Academy in Santa Monica. When Naruto is not in a Lucha ring he’s on stage with his band "Chiles Verdes" (Green Chillies) playing a fusion of reggae, ska and punk around many festivals in California. His dream was to wrestle in Japan which he has now done on 2 separate tours and now also fights in Mexico. His latest ambition will be achieved when he brings his moves to England this summer.

Hanaoka
Hanaoka is a young Japanese bad boy rudo with a nickname that needs to translation: El Loco Hanaoka. After seeing Mexican fighters in Japan he decided to go to Mexico to learn the craft. Once in Mexico he lived and trained with Japanese wrestler El Ultimo Dragon who was his first teacher together with Negro Navarro. At present Hanaoka is part of the NWA Mexico where he trains with his teacher Skayde. He travels regularly to Japan where he wrestles for Japanese companies such as Universal and Sasuke.

Turbo
Turbo, aka Golden Boy will be celebrating 10 years since his Arena Azteca Budokan debut when he arrives here in June. He is the NWA Champion at Lightweight and holder of 3 masks. Turbo wanted to wrestle from around the age of 5 after watching Lucha Libre on the TV and is a super-talented high flyer.
Hantar is another bad boy rudo for whom everything began with the invitation from a friend to train in the gym in Contreras. A year later, Hantar made his debut in the ring. Later together with his partner Kronoz they became one of the best teams in Mexico.

Arez
When he says: “I love the air. Lucha Libre is everything to me!” he means he loves flying through the air and we’re not talking EasyJet. Arez is a 19 year old Tecnico and Aereo who loves to play video games and listen to reggaeton but all playing stops when he enters the ring.
Skayde, (aka Porsche, Power Raider Blanco, Boomerang) is a self-styled Tecnico Rudo Aereo which means he’s a bit of a good guy, a bit of a bad guy and loves to fly acrobatically through the air, and he’s the Daddy of the batch!! He’s the “Master of Diving” with UWA World Lightweight Championship and NWA Mexican Lightweight Championships to his name. Watch out for his signature Skayde Slam.

Lucha Future takes you to a new dimension. This is 3D amazement without the glasses.
