Culture Connect: Salsa, Zumba & Tapas

An all day event at Crisis Skylight Cafe in Newcastle. Featuring special Salsa and Zumba classes with Coco Vega and Michelle Houston.

Coco Vega, “the Godfather of Salsa” will be on hand to teach beginners Salsa lessons, no partner required. With his traditional mix of original Salsa and some contemporary Latino beats we guarantee that you “walk in but dance out”.

One of the North East’s favourite Zumba instructors, Michelle Houston will teach a class suitable for all levels. More fun and exercise dance to funky Latino Beats!!!

There will also be  a demonstration by a professional chef and Spanish cooks! See for yourself and get hands on with demonstrations and support in how to cook dishes like Bacalao, Chopitos, Gambas, Pulpo a la gallega, Patatas bravas, Solomillo a la castellana or Zamburiñas. Finish off the afternoon with a sit down tapas meal that you helped prepare, and then enjoy your food with live Spanish guitar accompaniment and a glass of sangria.
