¡VAMOS! Festival 2011 launches!
Well we are finally, finally there and check out the weather! ¡VAMOS! 2011 launches tomorrow with a fantastic day featuring a Latin American style carnival followed by music performances at the Green Festival. 

Tyne Carnival
Rumba NE, Dale Burundanga, Meze Mundo, World Beaters Music Samba Band, the Newcastle University Salsa Band and Sports for Youth Academy along with all the public participants have been working very hard to put an amazing show on Northumberland Street. Come down to celebrate the festival start in the best way with the first EVER Tyne Carnival! 

The event starts at 11am from the south end of Northumberland Street near Peacocks and the south entrance to Fenwick's. Children and adults are encouraged to come dressed up in colourful costumes to get in the mood! There is more info on the ¡VAMOS! website here or the Facebook event is here.
