Día de los Muertos at Newcastle City Library
Members of the Americas Research Group from Newcastle University (with assistance from many volunteers!) have created an amazing Día de los Muertos exhibition at the City Library, Newcastle.
The exhibition explores this fascinating aspect of Latin American culture through a range of explanatory posters, an ofrenda, and various artefacts! This images shows handpainted skulls by Elliot Thomson and Laura Cresser!

Caribbean Carnival Halloween Costume Party at Star and Shadow Cinema
In celebration of Black History month, Hannabiell and Midnight Blue will be hosting a Halloween Carnival themed Costume/Fancy Dress Party. The night will feature Hannabiell & Midnight Blue, Guessman, James Joys, Lalya, and Alx Alfaro spinning the best dance music - and of course there will be LIVE DRUMMING!
Come and enter the Costume Contest and purchase a handmade Caribbean mask or raffle ticket. There will also be Caribbean food!
